Do donations count toward my carbon footprint?

Typically, donations can be excluded from your carbon footprint as they usually would not pass the Relevance Test.

The Relevance Test is a prescriptive test, developed by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, with a set of five criteria to decide if a Scope 3 emissions source should be included in a carbon footprint. If two or more criteria are met, the emissions source is deemed relevant and should be included.
