Steps for Users
1. Log In to the Trace App
- Access the app using your company login credentials.
2. Navigate to the Purchased Goods and Services Section
- Go to Measurement Profile
- Select "Add your activity data"
- Select “Purchased Goods & Services” > Activity Data" tab
3. Use the Spreadsheet Interface to Input Data
- You’ll see a table where you can add details for each line item. Required columns include:
- Product or Material Type

- Specify what was purchased (e.g., steel, office paper, plastic packaging).
- Weight (kg)

- Enter the total weight in kilograms for each material or product.
- Entity

- If your company has multiple entities, select the relevant one.

Each entity represents a different operational unit, ensuring that data is correctly attributed.
Tips for Accurate Input
- Ensure weights are recorded in kilograms. If your data is in another unit (e.g., tons or pounds), convert before entering.
- Select the most accurate product or material type from the dropdown to ensure correct emission factors are applied.
- If a product type is not listed, contact support@our-trace.com to request an addition.

Missing required data will be highlighted in red and must be completed before proceeding.

Spreadsheet-like functionalities:

Users can copy/paste rows for faster input.

Bulk edit values.

Delete rows if needed.

Right-click on any cell to add or delete a comment, similar to Excel.

Comments can be used to add notes for internal review before submission.

What if I have a material or product that isn't in your list of emissions factors?
We have tens of thousands of emissions factors from government, research institution and non-governments. To make it easier, we've added the most common ones that our customers need.
