Why does the 'Carbon Measured' badge show a past period?

The 'Carbon Measured' badge is designed to reflect the actual period during which your GHG emissions were measured. It does not show future periods because it’s based on historical data rather than estimates or projections.

For example, if your emissions measurement covers the period July 2023 to June 2024, the badge will display that same period even if the assessment is completed later, such as in October 2024. This ensures the badge accurately represents your emissions for that timeframe.

While the badge shows a past period, it remains a valid indicator of your most recently measured emissions until you complete your next reporting cycle. So even if the badge dates have passed, it still serves as your current credential until you update it with new measurements.
